Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons
The Essendon Day Procedure Centre respectfully acknowledges the Wurundjeri People as the traditional owners and custodians of the lands on which our centre is located. We honour and respect their ongoing cultural and spiritual connections to this country. We aim to respect the cultural, heritage, customs and beliefs of all Indigenous people past and present.
At the Essendon Day Procedure Centre (EDPC) we specialise in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
The EDPC’s aim is to provide the best possible oral and maxillofacial day surgery services and care appropriate to the facility. All care is provided in an ethical and professional manner by highly skilled and credentialled staff and Visiting Medical Officers’. At the EDPC the emphasis is on person-centred care where the patient’s individual needs determine their care plan. At EDPC risk to health and well being is managed and minimised to ensure the best care and outcomes for the patient, carer, customer, visitor, staff or stakeholder.
Our oral and maxillofacial surgeons are surgical specialists who treat conditions, defects, injuries and aesthetic aspects of the mouth, teeth, jaw and face. Specifically we are involved in the removal of wisdom teeth, other teeth, implants for replacement teeth, pathology of the mouth including cysts, trauma to the jaw, including fractured jaws and cheekbones and orthognathic surgery for the correction of jaw discrepancies.
